Peristaltic pumps have great advantages in ensuring the tightness and accuracy of fluid delivery, so there are many industries that demand peristaltic pumps, but how do choose them? Here to share with you a little knowledge of choosing a peristaltic pump.

  1. Selection of pump head

The pump head is generally selected from three aspects, that is, the flow rate, the number of channels, and the number of rollers. Let me share with you the specific directions that these three aspects will affect.

The first is the flow rate. Different pump heads are suitable for hoses of different specifications.

The second is the number of channels. It is necessary to consider the demand for simultaneous transmission of fluids in your own work.

The third is the number of rollers on the pump head. The number of rollers determines the accuracy and smoothness of the fluid outflow. If you want the fluid to have high precision and smooth outflow, it is best to choose a pump head with a large number of rollers.

  2. Selection of hose

The choice of the hose is the most important thing because the hose is the only accessory that touches the fluid during the operation of the equipment, so please choose carefully when purchasing.

The first is the material. For example, if the fluid you need to transmit is highly corrosive, you should choose a Teflon hose. If the working environment temperature is high, then choose a silicone rubber hose. Different fluids should choose the corresponding hose.

The second is the wall thickness of the hose. The wall thickness is closely related to the pressure. If the pressure required is greater, the hose wall must be thicker.

The third is the inner diameter, which determines the flow rate of the transmission fluid, and the size of the inner diameter is directly proportional to the flow rate.

  3. Selection of controller

The last is the controller of the peristaltic pump. According to the different working environments, consider the purchase funds and choose the corresponding controller.

The rotation speed of the first drive is generally divided into three types: 100, 300, and 600 rotations. The faster the rotation speed, the greater the flow rate. Of course, OEM customization is also available.

The second is precision. If you want to control the fluid more finely, then "precision" must naturally be taken into consideration.

The third is the protection level. For example, if the working environment requires dustproof, waterproof, explosion-proof, etc., just select the driver with the corresponding IP level.
